Sunday evening in Queens

I went to Broad Channel on Sunday. I had never heard of the place but check it out:

Broad Channel, often referred to as "the Venice of New York" is the only inhabited island in Jamaica Bay. Whaddyaknow!?


I love salty little towns with lots of lawn ornamentation.


But what the heck is this?


Familiar and comforting sights for a Long Island girl.


I like this picture.


It was really pretty and made me want a house and a backyard again.


Oh, and I got silver shoes at Marshall's in Massapequa earlier in the day.
