Nino's starting with the dog in the mirror, he's asking him to change his ways.
(Thank you, PF + MJ.)

A very "B" breakfast.

This is my 800th post! Go eat a crisp apple!

My aunt Kathleen is coming to New York City today!

I came across this unedited scan today. It kinda rules.

This little lady is running to wherever the sunshine is.

Update

I didn't want anyone to worry about Nino so I am posting this picture I took of him today. He is feeling much better.

Joy

My adorable and handsome Joe got a haircut. Cute and summery.

Making a sad face with his face.

This is the face of a pup with an uncomfortable infection between his toes and residual anxiety due to grooming. Aww. The vet gave him antihistimine pills, medicated wipes for his toes, a cooling anti-itch spray and a blue Elizabethan collar, all for the low, low price of $178.00. But Nino is worth it. It's his 7th birthday this Thursday- I hope he is feeling more like himself by then.

C'est ci n'est pas une moustache.

This is actually a goat hair collar that you can buy from Miu Miu for $350.00.

I just found this drawing from a series of drawings I did in 2003 for a little story I wrote called MY FOOT BOOK. I could actually write many different stories about my feet so I should be more specfic- this one is about when I had a splinter in my foot and I was too scared and felt too silly to go to the doctor about it. Maybe I should re-visit this and finish it...

You betta believe it.

I am super excited to report that I have THIS SAME EXACT dress, one in navy and one in turquoise.

Yes.

Would you call either of these a (future) ICONIC album cover?

I like putting fruit on things.

Nino is getting his Summer/Birthday haircut tomorrow! Say goodbye to the shag for three months. Then maybe people will stop calling him "chunky", too.

*But it is nice to rationalize, when one is feeling chunky: "Oh, I just need a haircut."

Shoe sale

My friend Sidse the Danish writer/actress/shoe model is selling some of her shoe collection and she asked me if I could photograph them for her. They are all brand new, unworn, designer shoes but sadly (for me) they are all size 6 1/2 or 7. Aren't they pretty! There's 30+ pairs but these are my favorites.

Here's all of them. Click on the picture to make it bigger:

Sunday evening in Queens

I went to Broad Channel on Sunday. I had never heard of the place but check it out:

http://www.forgotten-ny.com/YOU%27D%20NEVER%20BELIEVE/Broad%20Channel/channel.html

Broad Channel, often referred to as "the Venice of New York" is the only inhabited island in Jamaica Bay. Whaddyaknow!?

I love salty little towns with lots of lawn ornamentation.

But what the heck is this?

Familiar and comforting sights for a Long Island girl.

I like this picture.

It was really pretty and made me want a house and a backyard again.

Oh, and I got silver shoes at Marshall's in Massapequa earlier in the day.

This rules.

I had the most amazing Long Island-y day with Joe (more pictures to come) and to top it all off I met this amazing little bouncing baby, Kaitlyn.

I am working on some wine labels now and it got me thinking about other unusual venues where my designs/illustrations have appeared. Here are pictures of the silks I did for my friend Mark's horse partnership, called UP PARK, when Silver Strings won her first race in 2005.

H&M is having a really good sale.

Jane's Addiction

I saw Jane's Addiction at Jones Beach on Sunday night, 22 years after I saw them for the first time at Stony Brook College.

We old. But we all still look good :)

I had to draw a frog today and this was my first go at it. I think this would make a fine tattoo for someone.

This was more like it.
