Basking
This is Antonina's dog, Jack, basking on the beach in Florida. I love how you can see the shadow of his fuzziness.
I brought the contents of my big change jar to TD Bank (where they have a FREE change counting machine and a bone shaped dish of treats for Ninos). Upon leaving the bank I promptly purchased three bunches of daffodils ($9.00), a California roll ($4.00) and three pieces of Salmon sushi ($7.50). Feels like free money.

Introducing Miss Marm
This is Miss Marm. She is an expert on grammar and if you are a high school student you can email her and ask her questions. Here is what I was told about Miss Marm so I would know how to draw her:
-Lives in Carroll Gardens, and dreams of moving to Brooklyn Heights
-Drinks red wine
-Doesn’t have a boyfriend
-Takes flamenco classes
-Owns a Jack Russell Terrier named Frank
-Doesn’t go out too much, but loves to entertain
-Is amused by shrimp, because they remind her of her favorite punctuation mark
-Wears a silk robe when she grades papers

From the archives...
I miss my sister, Shirl, A.K.A. Kelly Arnold, who lives across an ocean from me. These pictures were taken on our three day whirlwind jaunt to Paris in September of 2007. The men pictured with us are waiters. I call the first picture: "You Don't Have to Get Any Closer, It's Enough I'm Wearing Your Hat" and the second one is titled: "Heh-Heh-Heh I'm Married See My Ring? Married!" Who says the French aren't friendly?

Last Sunday at Madeira Beach
Katie, Jimmy and Jack found some sealife!
This is Larry. Larry's hairy. Katie made him a beautiful little temporary apartment in her snorkel.
And this is Mr. Krabs! Do you see his eyes peeking up at you? Holy Krabby Patties!
*At the end of the day Katie bequeathed our new friends from Under-the-Sea to some other kids still playing on the beach. She's a good kid, that one...

Assorted things that make me happy
Jack asked me to draw bears doing various silly things, like wiggling their butts or looking at their belly button. He was delighted that I could fufill such requests, and he colored the bears with crayons. The fact that Jack is wearing pajamas only makes this scene extra cute.
Here is the final product. The big shapes drawn by Jack are BUTTS, in case you couldn't tell. He also drew his own versions of my little bear.
Katie and I did an "Exquisite Corpse" drawing exercise. I love that she gave it Nino's head, and that we both drew the same hairy legs, unbeknownst to each other.
