Stylish!

These three fantastic apartment buildings are all across from each other on a corner here in St Pete. An apartment in the green building had a garage sale this weekend and I bought a fabulous sectional down sofa and a leather chair for less money than you think.

Be careful*

*Special thanks to my uncle, Michael, for his fantastic idea to have me pose for this picture, mostly for my mother's enjoyment.

P.S. This alligator looks like the one on the "Swamplandia!" book cover (see below).

Indeed.

I would like to read this curious little novel that takes place in Florida because there is indeed some weirdness here that I can attest to.

Me and my Uncle

Who knew that some-odd years later that we would be neighbors? Thank you, Michael, for helping me so much with my new home.

...and then some.

I always wanted an address with a 1/2 in it, and now I have one.

And soon my apartment will look cool enough to be in Lonny Magazine, too.

Cruiser

I am going to go to the local bike shop today and ask questions about bikes. I didn't know there were so many kinds of bikes to choose from:

Hopefully the bike shop will have something used and cute for me for less than $100.

***UPDATE: Apparently it's better to fix the bike you have than to get another used bike. Full tune-up and wipe-down: $59.99, ready for pick up by noon on Friday. I've only had the bike since Saturday and I already miss it.

Meet Petra, my intern.

My uncle found this pretty lady at a yard sale this weekend and he said she could come live with me, and she can be my intern. When he bought her, she was wearing a little green (unacceptable) necklace, so let her borrow some of my jewelry. I'm creating a monster.
