Farewell, Kenneth Paul Block
“More than any single designer, he gave New York fashion its sophistication,” the designer Isaac Mizrahi said in Susan Mulcahy’s 2008 book, “Drawing Fashion: The Art of Kenneth Paul Block”. “Because he drew Babe Paley and Jackie Kennedy a certain way, they became what he had envisioned.”
“From early childhood,” Block said, “I wanted to draw glamorous women in beautiful clothes.”
