Goodbye, 2012, you've been good to me. I went to Las Vegas for the first time, and Chicago for the first time, and Nino got healthy and I met Ken and I am still illustrating. I am looking forward to 2013 and more good things and wonderful firsts! Happy New Year to you!

I have finally been to Chicago! I always wanted to go there.

Late summer light.

Late summer light sometimes looks like a Maxfield Parrish painting. I dig. I am going to sit myself under the Maxfield Parrish mural in the King Cole Bar of the St. Regis hotel sometime next week. Now that my friend Tommy retired from Bemelman's, there's less of a pull that far Uptown.

An Apple a day.

That's about the rate at which I was ruining my Apple products this weekend. I now have a new laptop and a new iPhone and I will be much more careful with both of them.

Week #6

Going to swim in the Gulf tonight (for the sixth week in a row) with Ken. When we started going the sun set at 8:19pm, now it sets at 7:45pm. Soon we won't be able to go anymore because it will be too dark and fall-like. So Ima enjoy it now.
