I bought some new knives this weekend. Now that I cook all the time, I thought I should have more than just one (very dull) knife. Good knives are amazing! In honor of my new knives I have been having canteloup, spaghetti squash and very ripe tomatoes.

Summer Sale

I know I just bought a pair of shoes last week, but I can't wear huge wooden platforms everyday. My everyday summer shoes that I bought in May are worn out. I went to DSW to replace them but all they had were fall shoes and boots. No! It's mid-July! There's a lot more summer shoe time. I was worried. But then today, while walking Nino, I found these precious little gems on sale. Neon and metallic! Black! And snakeskin! All is right in Alli-World.

Beautiful Napa Valley

Never say never.

While in San Francisco I was invited to be a member of the unofficial (and very exclusive) Napa Crocs Club, and presented with a brand new pair of red Crocs upon initiation. They are fun to wear when you are retrieving an egg from the hen house, but I don't quite know when they are appropriate in New York City.

Nino just got dropped off at my apartment after a week in the country. He was asleep before his head rested on the floor.
